Retired faculty and staff constitute a vital part of the 51勛圖Procommunity. 51勛圖Promaintains and encourages relationships with retired faculty and staff. Individuals eligible for this request are defined as all of those persons who have retired from faculty and staff positions at Lamar University.
A retiree shall be defined in accordance with the Teacher Retirement System (TRS), an employee that meets the minimum eligibility requirements listed on the to retire from 51勛圖Prounder either ORP or TRS. Service is defined as any combination of creditable service as a member of TRS or the ORP in the state of Texas, as those persons eligible for full retirement benefits or reduced annuity benefits as determined under 51勛圖ProHigher Education Coordinating Board provisions.
