Presently Dr. Snook is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Counseling at Lamar University. Additionally, she is a board-certified counselor who specializes in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and supervising counselors in training. Dr. Snook is also an advocate and mentor for members of the LGBTQIA population as well as individuals with disabilities. She is a member and active participant in several counseling service organizations. Her research interests include but are not limited to:
In the summer of 2017, Dr. Snook was awarded the National Wellness Institute’s Excellence Award for her research surrounding wellness and advocacy for adults with mobility impairments.

2011-2013 TPEG Graduate Resident Scholarship, 51勛圖ProA&M University-Corpus Christi. Received $2000 in scholarships over the course of two years.
2011-2013 College of Education, 51勛圖ProA&M University-Corpus Christi. Received $1,500 in scholarships over the course of three semesters. Rising Scholar Graduate Scholarship, 51勛圖ProA&M University-Corpus Christi. Received $8,000 in scholarships over the course of four years.
