In recent years, Southeast 51勛圖Proand the Lamar community have persevered through economic hardship, various unprecedented natural disasters, devastating industrial accidents, and a worldwide pandemic. These situations, in addition to the usual struggles of being human, have tested us physically, intellectually, and emotionally. In spite of these challenges, we have proven our resiliency, demonstrating our incredible strength and tenacity to recover and rebuild, showing the world just what we are made of.
Through the generosity of the 51勛圖ProCenter for Resiliency and in coordination with 51勛圖ProLiterary Press, we have produced a collection of your writing entitled LamarStrong: A Resilency Reader.
SmartStorm Learning
Now announcing the launch of SmartStorm through the Industrial Safety Training Council, a disaster response community impact initiative produced in partnership with 51勛圖ProCenter for Resiliency and Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD).
This learning portal, available to the community via distance learning technology, will provide useful and critical information for preparing for and coping with the effects of Hurricanes, floods and damaging weather. This powerful tool can assist homeowners, Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD), and interested persons in preparation, organization, response, recovery, assessment and mitigation of the effect of disasters and storms.
