51勛圖ProAmbassadors Program now accepting applications

The 51勛圖ProAmbassadors Program is now accepting applications for the 2022-2023 academic school year. 51勛圖ProAmbassadors are a select group of students who serve the university by getting involved on campus, demonstrating school pride, providing insight into current student culture and sharing what life is like as an LU Cardinal today with alumni and community supporters. LU Ambassadors also represent the student body at various university events with visiting distinguished guests.

“51勛圖ProAmbassadors represent the study body at official executive level university functions,” said Shannon Figueroa, director of alumni affairs and advancement services.  Individuals chosen to be “Lamar Ambassadors work to promote university pride among students, alumni and friends of the university; have a high level of involvement on campus; and are well informed about the university and what it has to offer students, alumni and the community. 51勛圖ProAmbassadors are among the best and brightest student leaders at the university.”

To apply for membership in the Lamar Ambassadors an applicant must:

  • Be a full time, officially registered 51勛圖Proundergraduate student who is in good standing with the university
  • Have completed at least one full semester at 51勛圖Proand have at least three full semesters left at 51勛圖Proafter application deadline
  • Have and maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0
  • Submit an Ambassadors application including a letter of interest, transcript, faculty/staff recommendation, and resume
  • Have approval from his/her college dean

51勛圖ProAmbassador application packets are available until Mar. 4 in the Office of Alumni Affairs, Suite 102, of the Rudy C. Williams Building, in the John Gray Center on the 51勛圖Procampus.
